Language and Dimension

Language and Dimension

TANAKA Akio

1.
History
Language and dimension seem to have relation at mathematical based thinking. The clue is language's going round and round in circles like the Crete's Lie.
I have thought on the relation probably from 2008 with the minimum unit of meaning, which I called "meaning minimum". One of the papers at those days are at the next.
Clear writing on dimension is very hard for me at the defined lo level's mathematics. After several years I had some stock on writing tools and thinking basis by mathematics, especially algebraic geometry. Some results are the following.

2.
Arithmetic Geometry
In 2013 I set to work in earnest to learn arithmetic geometry for solving the hard problem. The next are the  results of learning, titled Arithmetic Geometry Language (AGL)
  1. Dimension of Language (AGL 1)
  2. Synthesis of Meaning and Transition of Dimension (AGL 2)
  3. Birth of Word, Synthesis of Meaning and Dimension of New Word (AGL 3)
  4. Dimension Conjecture at synthesis of Meaning (AGL 4)

3.
Conjectures
From my study of AGL, I arranged the next three conjectures for the next step. They are the most important themes of my study.

Three Conjectures

For details, refer to the next.

4.
Prospects after this
Over dimension, synthesis and reversion, I have thought on some important concepts of language, potential, quantization, discreteness and so forth. These concepts would perhaps open the possibility of further understanding of language and its surroundings.
I have written several trial papers for studying the concepts like the following.

5.
Conclusion at present
Roger Penrose' said at THE ROAD TO REALITY A Complete Guide to the Laws of the Universe, 2005,  "We cannot get any deep understanding of the laws that govern the physical world without entering the world of mathematics."

In my youth, I was deeply impressed with Ludwig Wittgenstein, from whom I was strongly affected at thinking  and writing  style of the study.

Hurrying up to library

 Hurrying up to library

TANAKA Akio

When I was a high school student, my dream of near future was to go to library everyday for reading, learning and researching my themes at that time unknown. In the school I liked solving easy questions of mathematics and physics,  but those were all rudimentary questions for general students aiming university’s entrance.
I thought that there would be clear themes of my own life somewhere in my learning world, which never came up to the surface. So above all things I wanted to go library to find my themes for my study life, in which I probably would satisfy in my youth time. I dreamed my figure hurrying up to library with carrying books under my arm being bothered nothing perfectly.
At university my dream surely came to true. But a new more difficult problem emerged up in my front. It was a talent or gift for keeping study deeply. I was a common person having nothing peculiar gift. From that time my true long winding road to language study started towards hard field or precipitous mountain.

In June 2016, I become 69 years old, that is the time to remember the life to this day. How has my youth time dream realised? What has I obtained the objects I ever hoped?. Some are realised, some are not. I obtained the real aim to keep studying on. It is in language I ever dreamt. But I have not made enough contribution to the people around me and social itself. I only walked my narrow road for my study, not paid attention to others. I met many splendid people leading me generally to my study way. I was too happy to my tiny research results ever made. I sincerely thank to all and I truly love this small road. It was a long and winding road as the Beatles sang in my youth time and I feel that I surely got fine strawberry from language field. It is For Ever.

Henry the Fourth, For SAEKI Shizuto and Shakespeare

Henry the Fourth, For SAEKI Shizuto and Shakespeare

In my mid-20s, I had worked at a high school in Tachikawa, Tokyo. One day, after teaching class, I waited the colleague at the physics study room, who was two year older than me and the best friend at the school. At the room he was absent and I waited sitting the chair and began to read the bringing book for the time if he was absent.

The book was the compact-sized complete works of Shakespeare. In those days, I had  time to time to time read Shakespeare for  researching what was poetry or verse’s essence. I had strongly wanted what was verse or how verse differs from prose . But never I had grasped the tail of it.

Several papers and books were already read at that time. Some poets' and researchers' writings were also looked through. But I had perfectly never made sense of it on verse. It was the very precious theme for me on the way studying language. For example, what is the rhyme of verse or what difference occurs between verse and prose?  So I decided to read Shakespeare which seemed the most typical verse work in the world.

When I was reading Shakespeare on the laboratory-work desk in my friend study room, I suddenly understood perfectly the essence of verse by the beginning of the play, King Henry the Fourth’s saying. It became one of the biggest pivotal points of my life.

The complete works was bought at old book store at Kanda, Tokyo. Its jacket was dark red and very light in weight. Probably the book were so old and enough dried up. I liked its classical binding.

On the colleague returning the room, my mind was swaying for a while with my happy finding. The friend's name was SAEKI Shizuto who always taught me the many wisdom related with life and study by his sensitive talent to nature and universe. He was teaching geology in the high school.

If C live, he also may ask me, "What  are you researching now?" And A also will answer him as same as ever. I have pursued universals, never done facts, without repenting.
Oh C, if you live, will we also talk on language at the table facing each other under the low ceiling of the shop, going up the steep stairs.
The name of the shop is California. For the memory of our daily forgetful life, its never miserable though poor all over, I will write down our delight.
