古希を過ぎ、今夏6月で74歳となる私にとって、華埜井先生は変わることなく、つねに

若く、端正であった。人はときに、一見間接的であるように思われながら、深い意味を

帯びた追憶をもつことがあることを、この論考によって少しでも伝えることができるな

らば、1966年にフランス文化使節として来日し、幸運にもそのテレビ放送を視聴でき

たフランスの哲学者ガブリエル・マルセル Gabriel Marcel 1889-1973 が1961年にハー
