The first paper on Inherent time in word at SRFL. 2014
26/07/2014 10:18
In 2003 I wrote a paper which shows the inherent time in word, titled On Time Property Inherent in Characters.
In those days I frequently looked upon the reading on linguistic history of Chinese characters. Qing dynasty is like a sitting sun being lighted with classical study of Chinese Classics.
In October 2002, I contracted pneumonia and entered a hospital two weeks. At the hospital pneumonia smoothly recovered to usual health. So I thought on my study life and my main target of language at the free time. From the hospital’s window the Okutama Mountains were always clearly seen. Seeing the mountains, I gradually determined that the research must be led by clear description, not by traditional style of historical language study.
But my study was mainly put on WANG Guowei’s style until then. His life work, Quangtangjilin is the only book in my life. Then at the hospital bed, I confirmed that my study was mixed to clear desorption and traditional WANG’s work.
In March 2003, I stayed at Hakuba, Nagano for tasting the passing wintry season’s landscape. At the place, I suddenly floating up an idea of language study that word has time in it and that time and meaning are all shaped to be elements. At the result I finished the paper, On Time Property Inherent in Characters.

Preface
When I started Sekinan Library at Tachikawa, Tokyo on 1 April 1986, I was 38 years old, after I left the seven year post-graduate study at university at March. At first I thought that ideogram would become the main study target for several years as the preparatory work for language universals ever being taught from CHINO Eiichi related with Linguistic Circle of Prague in 1920s. But ideogram being typical by Chinese characters is very hard to write down by the clear description using mathematical approach. several years passed by grope for adequate approach to ideogram’s meaning structure.

4. Time property in characters
In Autumn 2002 I got pneumonia and was hospitalized about 2 weeks, where I thought of 1970s’ dream, writing clear description on language universals by mathematics. The theme was as hard as ever. So, at the bed I thought the basis of language from a side of Chinese character’s classical approach which had vast heritage till Qing dynasty.
I directed my attention to the character’s figure which had compound meanings containing time elements continuing from Yin dynasty’s hieroglyphic characters left on bones and tortoise carapaces some 2400 years ago.
I thought that Chinese characters had containing time and its structure could be written by geometric approach once I had abandoned for difficulty. After leaving hospital, I wrote a paper titled On Time Property Inherent in Characters*3-1.

Warp Theory Dedicated to SAPIR Edward. 2004-2008
Warp Theory Dedicated to SAPIR Edward. 2004-2008
Dedicated to SAPIR Edward
1
Language is a set of quanta, which are warped by utterance of human being.
2
The warped quantum goes to the real world, where the quantum stops its movement.
3
The real world is the standstill point of language which is called <the end of sentence>.
4
All the movement quanta to the real world give the guarantee of language.
5
This movement is supposed to be original energy of SAPIR’s “drift” concept.
6
<Quantum Theory for Language> is basically influenced by SAPIR, who wrote Language 1921.
7
The theory is also influenced by KARCEVSKIJ, who wrote “Du dualisme asymétrique du signe linguistique” 1929.
8
The concept of warp is the kernel of quantum theory for language.
The concept derives two principles, <reversion principle of quantum> and <time principle of quantum>.
9
Reversion of quantum is a phenomenon of warp in language.
10
Connection and separation of quantum which is a part of <time principle of language> is also a phenomenon of warp in language.
11
The cause of warp is supposed to be in the suspension of utterance of human being.
This suspension occurred by the proceeding of thinking in human being.
The suspension occurs inevitably in thinking, which is an entirely new stepping into our world of idea.
12
The suspension of utterance is going to be resolved by the regular proceeding of quantum.
13
This regularity is led by the nearest orbit on the floor of language.
14
The proceeding of quantum is requested by the guarantee of language.
15
If there is no proceeding, the utterance of human being is being suspended in the language world eternally.
16
The utterance of human being generates the warp.
The warp generates the energy of proceeding of quantum.
The proceeding generates the principles, now verified ones are <reversion principle> and< time principle>.
17
The state of warp is observed by two aspects. One is the speed of proceeding. The other is the touch of two quanta.

Letter to C. 3 May 2019
Dear C.,
I have studied on language using mathematical description.
But I have not any interest usual linguistics because of its ambiguity, for example, generative grammar, that probably cannot be expressed by mathematics.
Now I really hope that the most ambiguous natural language must be expressed by contemporary rigid mathematics for further use to human, one is medical science.
If medical image or photo can be analysed by mathematics, it will become more accurate and useful for patients and doctors. Geometry or algebraic geometry is probably one of the nearest ways for the purpose.
Now at the forefront of medicine for the image analysis, pattern recognitions are statistically gathered and classified. But they are all depended on human visual sensation, ambiguous and easy to misinterpret.
All the more, to the most important nerve’s analysis, eyesight cannot get any minute information from the image or photo.
Over algebraic geometry, algebra or arithmetic is the very intimatest with computer systems.

Prague in 1920s / 2012-2021
Prague in 1920s
Non-symmetry. It was the very theme that I repeatedly talked on with C.
Prague in 1920s. Karcevskij’s paper “Du dualisme asymetrique du signe linguistique” that appeared in the magazine TCLP.
Absolutely contradicted coexistence between flexibility and solidity, which language keeps on maintaining, by which language continues existing as language.
Still now there will exist the everlasting dual contradiction in language.
Why can language stay in such solid and such flexible condition like that. Karcevskij proposed the duality that is seemed to be almost absolute contradiction.
Sergej Karcevskij’s best of papers, for whom C called as the only genius in his last years’ book Janua Linguisticae reserata 1994.

In this Tale, Print 2012, C is CHINO Eiichi who was the very teacher in my life, taught me almost all the heritage of modern linguistics. I first met him in 1969 at university’s his Russian class as a student knowing nothing on language study.
[Note, 1 March 2015]
Heritage of The Linguistic Circle of Prague in 1920s
The LCP showed us the eternal flexibility of language, which has overcame the vast trial approach to language and its bases and language universals. The LCP had never persisted one theory or the main stream theories at that time. I have inherited this noble spirit on my study.

[Note 3]
In this text Name called C was CHINO Eiichi, who was one of the most excellent modern linguists in Japan.
He died suddenly by disease in 2002.
I first met with him in 1969, he just after returned to Japan from Czech. I was age 21 and he was 37.
I learnt Russian language from him at the tiny room of university.
And I again met with him in 1979, when I had studied Buddhism of Japan again at university.
We often talked on language at the little coffee shop named California, under the dim light of low ceiling.
In 1997 he became the president of university.
But I did not congratulated him for my parting afar from university in those days.
I thought that we could meet easily before long at that dear shop.
Time passed fast than I thought.
I cannot listen to his delightful conversation anymore.
Rest in peace over the sky.

Letter to WPM and Sebastian on After Language Universals and Linguistics. 22 September 2021
Letter to WPM and Sebastian on After Language Universals and Linguistics. 22 September 2021
Dear WPM ands Sebastian,
I wrote a next letter to WPM on 11 December 2019.
It was a clear farewell to Language Universals after some 20 year study of mine.
It also sends farewell to usual Linguistics now available at the study field.
For details, please refer to the next rather long letter.
Simple answer is to mathematical and digital place.
Language Universals and Linguistics have not show any clear evidences and proofs, all are supposition that have been gathered narrow fields in the vast language world.
Digitisation has finite bounds.
Infinity and no bounds does not recognise by usual approach of human being, probably expect mathematics and computer.
Mathematics recognise infinite dimension.
Computer recognize infinite circuit.
Language is consisted of finite elements and can make infinite language world.
Human usual supposition cannot grasp this vast world.
Supposition is supposition, cannot go to Substantia (Substance), only can go to a part of Accsidens ( Accident).
These two are reliable source that we take now, and can go some more near to Substantia of language.

To WPM and Sebastian,
The two are important technical terms from Greek philosophy to which I would like to attempt from a new perspective using geometric concept.
1.
What is substantia? It is the inside of boundary, outside is outer world.
Boundary is once defined through geometry.

In a new theory, these two terms are played basic role.
I would like to write this signal using geometrical numerical expression.
After writing, this signal will be translated to language understandable by human being.
The latest preparatory work for a new theory is shown at the next.
